Paul A. Smith, Jr.

Paul was raised in rural south Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets.  He graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2002.  He founded and leads Paul Smith Law Firm and his law practice includes civil litigation with extensive experience in cases involving insurance disputes and construction defects.  His insurance experience involves representing policyholders, including individuals and businesses, in disputes such as claims underpayment, denial and bad faith.  He has handled thousands of cases throughout the state of Texas dealing with insurance coverage disputes that arose from property losses from hurricanes, hail, tornadoes, wind, fire, plumbing leaks, and theft. 

He is committed to the pursuit of excellence by aggressively representing his clients to the best of his ability. In addition to providing well-reasoned and conscientious solutions and strategies for representing his clients, he takes pride in maintaining a strong professional relationship with his clients.

Paul is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is also admitted to practice in all of the U.S. District Courts in Texas.  He is “AV-Rated” (highest rating for ethics and legal ability) since 2008 by Martindale-Hubbell.  He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association. 

In Paul’s free time he loves spending time with his family and traveling.
